FDCL received an Air Force Office of Scientific Research grant for “Uncertainty Quantification, Estimation, and Optimal Control for Stochastic Hybrid Systems on a Manifold.”

In collaboration with the Department of Mathematics at the University of California San Diego, the project aims to build an intrinsic framework for systems that combine continuous stochastic evolution with discrete random transitions. This mathematical setting captures uncertainty while respecting the geometry of the state space.
